Ingredients
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 3/4 cup Chocolate (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Almonds (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Butter (Softened)
- 1 tbl Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 4 Eggs (Beaten)
- 3 Lemon Peels
- 2 Orange Peels
Method
- Using a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, chopped almonds, chopped chocolate, baking powder and salt.
- Gradually mix in the beaten eggs and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the lemon peel and orange peel and mix until a dough.
- Place the dough on a floured surface and roll into foot-long logs.
- Place the logs on a greased baking tray.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for 30 minutes.
- Lift out of the oven and cut into thick slices.
Bake the slices again for another 10 minutes before serving.
- Biscotti should be stored in an airtight container to preserve taste and texture.
