Caramel Pecan Brownies

Mixture Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips
  • 2/3 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbl Water
  • 2 tbl Butter (Softened)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs (Beaten)

Topping Mixture

  • 1 cup Pecan Nuts (Chopped)
  • 2 tbl Butter (Melted)
  • 1 tbl Milk
  • 30 Caramel Sweets / Candies

Method

  1. Take a saucepan and combine the butter and water over a medium heat.
  2. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate chips. Stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and beaten eggs.
  4. Sift in the flour, sugar, salt and baking soda.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9“ cake tin.
  6. Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Lift the brownies out to cool on a wire rack.
  8. For the topping, combine the caramel candies with the butter and milk in a saucepan over a medium heat.
  9. Spread over the top of the brownies.
  10. Sprinkle with chopped pecan nuts.
