Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups Flour
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 1/2 cup Cocoa
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 tbl Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Method
- Using a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, white sugar, salt and baking soda until light.
- While stirring add the buttermilk and vegetable oil.
- Now fold in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8“ cake pan.
- Place in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake until brown.
- Lift out of the oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
