Mixture Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Hazelnuts (Ground)
- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 2 tbl Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened)
- 4 Egg Whites
Topping Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup Cooking Chocolate (Dark)
- 1 cup Whipping Cream
- 1/3 cup White Sugar
- 4 Egg Yolks (Beaten)
Method
- To make the mixture, take a mixing bowl and combine the egg whites and sugar until stiffened.
- Now fold in the cocoa powder and ground hazelnuts.
- Pour batter into a 9“ cake tin lined with greased paper.
- Now for the topping, place the dark cooking chocolate in a bowl and melt over a saucepan of hot water.
- Mix together the beaten eggs, sugar and melted dark cooking chocolate until thick.
- Generously smooth over the top of the cake.
- Whip the cream and use to decorate!
