Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Flour
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Chocolate Syrup
  • 1 cup Butter (Softened)
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 4 Eggs (Beaten)

Method

  1. Take a mixing bowl and combine the beaten eggs, sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Put the chocolate into a bowl and melt over a saucepan of hot water.
  3. Take the bowl off the heat, then stir in the chocolate chips, chocolate syrup and creamed mixture.
  4. While stirring continuously, pour in the milk.
  5. Keep mixing while sifting in the flour.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased 9“ cake tin.
  7. Put in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for 90 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cool on a wire rack.
