Ingredients
- 1 cup Bitter-sweet Chocolate (Finely Chopped)
- 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate (Finely Chopped)
- 3/4 cup Butter (Softened)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/3 cup Flour
- 1-1/2 tbl Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened)
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tsp Instant Coffee (Granulated)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 4 Eggs (Beaten)
- Black Cherry Sauce
- Whipping Cream
Method
- Put the chocolate in a bowl and melt over a saucepan full of hot water.
- Stir in the butter and remove from heat.
- Take a mixing bowl and combine the sugar and eggs until fluffy.
- Sift in the flour, salt and coffee granules.
- Fold in the vanilla extract then stir for a couple of minutes.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake mould.
- Place the moulds on a baking tray.
- Put in an oven preheated to 350 F and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let the cool for a minute or two.
- To serve, tip the molten chocolate cakes out of their moulds.
- Some whipped cream and black cherry sauce is ideal for a finishing touch.
